Welcome to your free trial of Cobalt Transcribe, our customizable, scalable, real-time speech transcription engine. The trial is for 100 days, with no restrictions on daily or weekly usage. It runs on Linux, Mac, and Windows, and processes audio files in a wide variety of file formats and sample rates (including telephony). The free trial has no limit on file size or audio duration, and its robust API permits a selection of customizable output.
Cobalt Transcribe supports two types of models: Hybrid, and End-To-End. The free trial is currently offered for our US English Hybrid models. These models are faster and less computationally expensive than the End-To-End models, but they are typically less robust to background noise, dialects and accents. End-To-End models can often be much more accurate, but have a higher latency. If you would like to try out Cobalt Transcribe End-to-End, or are interested in the other languages we support, contact sales@cobaltspeech.com.

To obtain a 100-day free trial of Transcribe Sever, please fill out the form at https://www.cobaltspeech.com/free-trial.

Once submitted, we will send you a free trial license via e-mail with which you can download Transcribe server along with different transcription models from https://downloads.cobaltspeech.com

Begin by uploading your license at https://downloads.cobaltspeech.com.
- Once the license is uploaded, you will be provided details of your license along with a list of models and tools you can download.
- Select the language + domain combination(s) you want to use and download the compressed archive.
- After you extract the archive, please move (without renaming) the license file
(
cobalt.license.key) you obtained into the top level directory: the same directory as the `transcribe-server’ binary.
With the above steps completed, you are now all set to Get Started with using Cobalt Transcribe!
